Engagement Overview

This proposal outlines the UX design engagement Northwind Studio will run for Acme Co. It covers user research and information architecture, wireframing and high-fidelity prototyping, and a round of usability testing to validate the design before build.

Objectives

• Validate user needs through research, not assumptions.
• Establish a clear information architecture your team can build against.
• Deliver testable prototypes that surface issues before development.
• Provide actionable design recommendations grounded in real user feedback.

Scope of Work

The engagement runs across three phases. Each closes with a written deliverable and a review session before the next begins.

What is included

• User interviews and research synthesis
• Information architecture, sitemap, and user flows
• Low-fidelity wireframes for the priority journeys
• High-fidelity interactive prototype covering key screens
• Usability testing readout with prioritized recommendations

Not included: visual design system or brand work, front-end development, ongoing usability testing beyond the one round in scope, and research participant incentives. New scope can be added in writing at any time.

Investment

The engagement is a fixed-fee project priced by phase. Line items below map to the phases in the scope of work.

Payment Schedule

Invoices are due within 15 days. The engagement runs 8 to 10 weeks from kickoff to final readout, subject to the kickoff month you provide on the acceptance page.

Acceptance

To proceed, complete the fields below and sign. This proposal is valid for 30 days from the date on the cover.
