PRODUCT DESIGN CONTRACT
This agreement is entered into by Northwind Studio (the "Designer") and Acme Co (the "Client") for the design of the product surfaces defined during discovery. All final design files are delivered in Figma, and the Client owns the working files at project close.
SURFACES
4
Primary flows delivered as high-fidelity screens.
SPRINTS
4 × 2wk
Two-week sprints with review at the end of each.
DELIVERY
10 weeks
From kickoff to prototype handoff.
The Client wishes to engage the Designer to shape the user experience and interface of the product described during discovery. The Designer brings the research method, craft, and Figma system needed to deliver production-ready designs. This contract governs the engagement and supersedes any prior understanding on the same subject.

PRODUCT DESIGN CONTRACT
The engagement runs across three phases. Each closes with a working file, a written summary, and a review meeting with the Client's product lead.
PHASE 1 · DISCOVERY AND RESEARCH
Kickoff workshop, stakeholder interviews, up to 6 user interviews, competitive teardown, and a synthesis document defining the jobs, personas, and success metrics driving the design.
PHASE 2 · UX AND WIREFRAMES
Information architecture, user flows, and mid-fidelity wireframes for the agreed surfaces. Wireframes are validated with 3 unmoderated tests before moving into visual design.
PHASE 3 · UI AND PROTOTYPE
High-fidelity UI applied to the wireframes, component library aligned with the existing design system, an interactive Figma prototype, and a developer handoff walkthrough with the engineering team.
Not included:illustration, motion design, brand identity, front-end implementation, and analytics instrumentation. New scope can be added in writing at any time.

The Product Design Contract Template is a five-page document for putting your engagement on paper before it starts. It carries a cover, an overview with stat cards, a three-phase scope of work, an investment table with a computed total, and an acceptance page with inputs and signatures.
It is intentionally simple: rename what needs renaming in Bonsai, list your actual deliverables, and set the price. Merge fields handle the client details and date, and the last page collects the acceptance inputs and both signatures.
Everything below comes pre-configured. Turn sections on or off, edit the copy, or add your own — Bonsai remembers your choices for next time.
Can I edit every section? Yes — every heading, paragraph, stat, table row, and signature block is fully editable in Bonsai.
Can I add more pages? Yes — add, reorder, or duplicate pages once the template is open.
Do merge fields auto-fill? Yes — Sender, Receiver, and Date pull from your client contact and the current date automatically.
