Parties and Focus

This agreement is entered into by Northwind Studio (the "Coach") and Acme Co (the "Client") for a one-time coaching session. It covers the session itself, the light preparation before it, and a short written follow-up. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice.

Recitals

The Client wants a single, focused coaching conversation on a specific topic rather than an ongoing engagement. The Coach will help the Client name what is going on, explore options, and leave the session with a small set of concrete next steps they can act on independently.

Session Scope

The session runs in three parts so both parties get the most from a short window together.

PART 1 · PREP

Pre-session preparation

The Client completes a short intake form (topic, desired outcome, context, and any constraints) at least 24 hours before the session. The Coach reviews it and prepares a working structure for the conversation.

PART 2 · SESSION

Live coaching session

A 75-minute video session focused on the Client's chosen topic. The Coach uses open questions, reflection, and light frameworks to help the Client see the situation clearly and land on the next honest step.

PART 3 · FOLLOW-UP

Written recap and commitments

Within 48 hours the Coach sends a short written recap with the themes from the session and the specific commitments the Client named, so nothing gets lost after the call.

What is included

Short intake form and Coach review before the session

Written recap with themes, insights, and next-step commitments
One follow-up message within 14 days for a quick check-in

Not included: ongoing coaching, therapy, medical or legal advice, guaranteed outcomes, and additional sessions. A longer engagement can be discussed after this session if the Client wants to continue.

Fee and Session Terms

The session is billed as a single flat fee, payable in advance. The time on the Coach's calendar is not held until payment is received.

Rescheduling and Cancellation

The session can be rescheduled once with at least 24 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled inside that window, or missed without notice, are treated as delivered and no refund is issued. Refunds are otherwise available up to 48 hours before the session.

Confidentiality

Anything shared during the session is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to third parties without the Client's written consent, except where disclosure is required by law or to prevent serious harm.

About this template

The Life Coaching Session Contract template is a five-page document for putting the arrangement on paper before it starts. It carries a cover, a parties and purpose page with stat cards, a scope or terms section broken into three tracks with obligations, a fees or reference table with a computed total, and an acceptance page with inputs and signatures.
