Illustrator Contract

An agreement from Northwind Studio covering the illustration commission, artwork phases, and usage rights.

Parties and Overview

This agreement is entered into by Northwind Studio (the "Illustrator") and Acme Co (the "Client") for the illustration commission described below. The Illustrator retains authorship of the artwork and grants the Client a defined usage license on final payment.

Objectives

• Land on a consistent style through brief and sketches.
• Deliver six original pieces on the agreed timeline.
• Grant a clear, time-limited usage license.
• Retain authorship while enabling the Client's use.

Scope and Deliverables

The commission runs across three phases. Each closes with a written deliverable before the next begins.

What is included

• Brief kickoff and thumbnail sketches
• Six final illustrations with two revision rounds each
• Editorial and web usage license for two years
• Delivery of final files in agreed formats

Not included: print production, packaging usage, exclusive rights, and reuse beyond the license window. Extensions and additional usage are available under a separate quote.

Fees and Payment

The commission is a fixed-fee engagement based on the six agreed pieces and the usage license above.

Payment Schedule

Invoices are due within 15 days. Usage rights transfer on receipt of the final payment.

Acceptance

To proceed, complete the fields below and sign. This contract is valid for 30 days from the date on the cover.
