Front End Developer Contract

An agreement from Northwind Studio covering front-end engineering services, deliverables, and code ownership.

Parties and Overview

This agreement is entered into by Northwind Studio (the "Developer") and Acme Co (the "Client") for the front-end engineering engagement described below. The Developer works on the Client's roadmap during a reserved weekly capacity.

Objectives

• Ship features against the Client's roadmap each sprint.
• Meet the Client's accessibility and performance bar.
• Keep code clean, tested, and documented.
• Hand off ownership of all Client-specific code.

Scope and Deliverables

The engagement is a capacity-based retainer with weekly sprints and demo-driven acceptance.

What is included

• Environment setup and access onboarding
• Reserved 30 hours per week for 12 weeks
• Sprint demos every two weeks
• Documentation and knowledge transfer at term end

Not included: back-end engineering, DevOps, design work, and on-call support. Hours beyond reserved capacity are billed at $150 per hour with prior written approval.

Fees and Payment

The engagement is billed as a bi-weekly retainer plus a one-time onboarding fee. Line items below map to the reserved capacity.

Payment Schedule

Invoices are due within 15 days. Hours beyond the reserved capacity are billed at $150 per hour, approved in writing before work begins.

Acceptance

To proceed, complete the fields below and sign. This contract is valid for 30 days from the date on the cover.
