Freelance Designer Contract

An agreement from Northwind Studio outlining the design engagement, phases, deliverables, and rights transfer.

Parties and Overview

This agreement is entered into by Northwind Studio (the "Designer") and Acme Co (the "Client") for the design engagement described below. The Designer produces creative work in three phases and assigns rights to the Client on final payment.

Objectives

• Land on a strong creative direction backed by research.
• Deliver on-brand design assets built to production quality.
• Keep feedback focused with two consolidated revision rounds.
• Hand over rights and files cleanly on final payment.

Scope and Deliverables

The engagement runs across three phases. Each closes with a written deliverable and a review call before the next begins.

What is included

• Two creative directions with written rationale
• Primary deliverables with two revision rounds each
• Packaged production files in every required format
• Short brand guidelines covering usage, color, and type

Not included: photography, illustration, copywriting, printing, and third-party asset licensing. New scope can be added in writing at any time.

Fees and Payment

The engagement is a fixed-fee project billed in three installments across the design phases.

Payment Schedule

Invoices are due within 15 days. Rights transfer on receipt of the final payment.

Acceptance

To proceed, complete the fields below and sign. This contract is valid for 30 days from the date on the cover.
