Copywriting Contract

A copywriting contract between Northwind Studio and Acme Co covering the brief, drafts, revisions, and delivery of final copy.

Parties and Engagement

This agreement is entered into by Northwind Studio (the "Copywriter") and Acme Co (the "Client") for the copywriting project described below. The engagement covers a briefed set of deliverables at a fixed fee with defined revision rounds.

Background

The Client needs on-brand copy for the assets described in the brief. The Copywriter will interview stakeholders, review reference material, and deliver drafts on the agreed cadence. This contract supersedes any prior estimate or email thread on the same scope.

Scope of Work

The engagement runs across three phases. Each closes with a written deliverable and a review call before the next begins.

What is included

• Kickoff call and written creative brief
• First and second drafts of each briefed deliverable
• Two revision rounds per deliverable
• Final proofread and handoff in the requested formats

Not included: new deliverables added after the brief is signed, translation, SEO keyword research, on-page publishing, and stock imagery. New scope can be added in writing at any time.

Fees and Payment

The engagement is a fixed fee, invoiced in two milestones tied to the phases above.

Payment Schedule

Invoices are due within 15 days. The Client owns the delivered copy on final payment. Kill fees for cancelled projects are prorated to the phase completed at the time of cancellation.

Acceptance

To start the project, complete the fields below and sign. Drafting is scheduled once the kickoff invoice is settled.
