This letter confirms the accounting services Northwind Studio will provide to Acme Co for the current fiscal year. It covers monthly close, annual tax preparation, and advisory work, with clear expectations on responsibilities, timelines, and fees on both sides.

Objectives

• Keep the books current, tie-out ready, and audit-friendly all year.
• File accurate, on-time tax returns with no last-minute surprises.
• Provide monthly management reports the leadership team actually uses.
• Give founders a trusted advisor for finance-related decisions.

Scope of Work

The engagement runs across three coordinated streams. Each closes with a documented deliverable and a review touchpoint before the next period.

What is included

• Monthly bookkeeping, reconciliation, and close
• Annual federal and state business tax preparation
• Quarterly advisory sessions and year-end letter
• Standard management reports and supporting schedules

Not included: audits, financial statement reviews or compilations, payroll processing, sales tax registration and filing across multiple states, and representation before tax authorities. Additional scope can be added in writing at any time.

Fees and Payment

Fees are a fixed monthly retainer for bookkeeping and advisory, plus a fixed annual amount for the tax return. Line items below map to the phases above.

Payment Schedule

Invoices are due within 15 days. The engagement begins on signature and continues through the fiscal year unless either party gives 30 days written notice.

Acceptance

To engage Northwind Studio for the year, complete the fields below and sign. The engagement is not scheduled until the signed letter is returned.
