Creating invoices could be tasking, but it doesn’t have to be so. Now, the process is easier than ever. You can now download Bonsai’s custom invoice template, customize and send it to your client. The good thing is there are many templates you can adopt for your business.
You may try the Word format, Excel, or PDF templates for the free invoicing solutions. You may consider going for advance invoicing packages and software if your business is large enough to take care of the bills.
One rule you must remember is the accessibility to your client. Your custom invoice template might not serve its purpose if your client does not have the tools to view it.
Custom invoice templates provide an easy and affordable billing method for freelancers and consultants.
See the benefits you enjoy by using a custom invoice template for billing:
An invoice should include basic information about a service rendered and the due fees. It should also state itself as an invoice, among other relevant information. The invoice template we considered here does not handle tax records. If applicable, create a field to add your tax and come up with the due amount after tax.
See the basic sections of a custom invoice template below:
The left side of the header should contain your business information- name, address, postal code, email, and phone contact. The right side of the header section should carry the information about the party that would clear the bill. Create a field for invoice number in this section.
The next section is the body of the invoice. Depending on the nature of the job, create a table with rows and columns for the name of service /products and the fees. Ensure you break down the fees in your custom invoice template for the sake of clarity.
Include your terms and conditions while being clear as much as possible. Include your preferred payment method and currency if you are sending the invoice to a client in another country.
Include the date of issuance and specify your payment due date. Add a clause that states your charges for a late fee if applicable.
This sectional is optional. You may include it if you need to thank your client, add a call to action or say something different from all you’ve captured in the invoice.
All our templates are customizable, and can be paid online.
